Mehmet Baltalı, born in 1960, graduated from the St. Georg High School in Australia in 1978 and from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Vienna in 1987. He completed Community Health Course within the scope of the Department of Public Health within University of Innsbruck in 1988. After his military duty, he became a cardiologist at the Institute of Cardiology, Istanbul University in 1997. He became assistant associate professor in Başkent University Faculty of Medicine Department of Cardiology in 1998 and he worked as Associate Professor in 2003. He played a role in the establishment of Başkent University Adana Research and Application Center as a Vice Head of the Cardiology Department. Baltalı has worked as cardiologist in private hospitals in İstanbul since 2007. He got the title of Professor in 2013. He has many verbal and poster presentation in National and International congresses and he has many article in national and international journals. His articles were referred over three hundred times. He has awarded with the Second Place Award in National Scientific Competition on Metabolic Syndrome X in 2001.
