İmran GÖKER, Ph.D

In 1996, he graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine. In 1996, he was awarded a Master's degree at Boğaziçi University, Institute of Biomedical Engineering. In 2000, he completed his Master's degree with the defense of his Master's thesis titled "Design of an intraoral artificial larynx system for the speech rehabilitation of total laryngectomees". After completing his military service, he worked as Technical Service Manager in a private institution serving in the medical and dental sector for a short time. Then he started to work as a Research Assistant at Yeditepe University, Vocational School of Oral and Dental Health Department. At the same time, he was entitled to do his PhD at Boğaziçi University Biomedical Engineering Institute. Later, he started to lecture at the same university as a lecturer in the Faculty of Commercial Sciences, Department of Information Systems, as well as the Head of the Department of Oral and Dental Health. Between2004-2006, he was assigned to the Technical Commission during the establishment phase of Yeditepe University Training and Research Hospital. In 2010, he defended his PhD thesis titled "Investigation of the Alterations in Motor Units in Neurologic Disorders by Scanning EMG" at Boğaziçi University Institute of Biomedical Engineering and continued to work at Yeditepe University until he completed his PhD education. In 2011, he started to work as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Engineering and then as a Faculty Member in the Department of Health Management within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Since 2013, he started to work as a Lecturer at Istanbul Arel University, Faculty of Engineering-Architecture, and Department of Biomedical Engineering and as the Founding Head of the same department. Since 2006, he has been continuing his academic studies on various electrophysiological methods, especially Scanning Electromyography and Compound Muscle Action Potential Scanning, in the Electromyography Laboratory within the Department of Neurology, Division of Clinical Neurophysiology, Department of Neurology, Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, including the clinical phase of his doctoral thesis.  In this context, I have 5 International articles published in SCI-e indexed journals, 2 National Articles, 2 oral presentations in International Congresses (published in Proceedings), 17 oral presentations in National Congresses (13 of which were published in Full Text in Proceedings, 4 of which were published as Abstracts), 1 book chapter in an International Edited book, 1 book chapter in an Edited National book and 1 Editorial in the same National book.
