Dr. Hamza Abunima received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from The Islamic University of Gaza, Palestine, in 2011. He then worked in the academic and industrial sectors before moving to Malaysia to pursue postgraduate studies. He worked as an electrical engineer while studying in Malaysia. He completed his Master from Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka and Ph.D. from Universiti Sains Malaysia, both in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems), in 2015 and 2020, respectively. He then worked for Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology in South Korea before moving to Turkey in 2021 to be appointed as an Assistant Profesor in the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Üsküdar University.
His research interests are Artificial Intelligence Applications in Power Systems, Power Systems Modeling and Optimization, Reliability and Feasibility Evaluation, Distributed Generation, Renewable Power Resources, and Smart Grid.
