Prof. Ertan Oktay graduated from Middle East Technical University, Department of Economics and Statistics in 1970. He completed his master education at Ankara University, Department of Economics in 1981. Between 1982 and 1992, he worked at Gazi University, Department of Economic Theory. He received the titles of Member, Associate Professor and Professor. Between 1992 and 1998, he was the Founding Dean of the Faculty of Communication at Gazi University. Then, between 1998 and 2026, he served as the Founding Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Maltepe University. Between 1998 and 2007, he was the Founding Director of the Institute of Social Sciences at the same university.
