After completing her primary education at Ataköy Primary School, her secondary education at Uğur College and her high school education at Kadıköy Anatolian High School, Derya Dursun started her undergraduate education at the Faculty of Dentistry at Ondokuz Mayıs University in 2003. Dursun, who transferred to Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry in 2004, completed her undergraduate education in 2008. She worked as a freelance dentist between 2008-2011 and started her doctorate education in İnönü University Faculty of Dentistry Department of Orthodontics in 2011. Dursun, who started to work as a Research Assistant at Bezmialem Foundation University in 2013, completed her PhD in 2016. Derya Dursun has a good command of English.
