Burhan PEKTAŞ, Ph.D

Burhan Pektas was born in 1975 in Gebze. After successfully completing his primary, secondary and high school education, he graduated from Kocaeli University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Mathematics Program with honors. Then, he graduated from Kocaeli University, Institute of Science and Technology, Program of Mathematics in 2002 and he completed his Ph.D. in 2006. He worked at different academic positions in Kocaeli University for many years. On September, 2011, Dr. Pektas passed the associate professorship exam and received the title of “Associate Professor”. Burhan Pektas, who has worked as an assistant researcher and researcher in various projects, has 15 articles published in various international scientific journals and 12 papers presented at various conferences. Since 2002, he is a member of the organizing committee of the international conference “Inverse Problems: Modeling and Simulation” which is held every two years. He has been a faculty member of Department of Computer Engineering at Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences.

Research Areas: Inverse coefficient and inverse source problems for differential operators, numerical methods, optimization techniques, parabolic and hyperbolic equations.
