Birgül Erbaş was born in Bolu, Türkiye. After completing her bachelor's degree in Business Administration, she received professional training in aesthetics at a private academy. She later completed a bachelor's degree in Sociology.
Erbaş began her professional career in the field of aesthetics and beauty, serving in the aesthetics and beauty departments of Medcity Surgical Medical Center, Yeditepe University Hospital, and Darıca Hayat Medical Center. She subsequently worked as a skincare instructor at TOKİ Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and as a lecturer in the Hair Care and Beauty Services Program at Istanbul Kent University.
She is currently the Head of the Hair Care and Beauty Services Program and a Lecturer at the Vocational School of Health Services, Üsküdar University. Her academic work focuses on the field of beauty services through the perspectives of sociology and women's studies.
