Short CV

Dr. Mehdi Meran completed his undergraduate education at Tabriz University, Department of Applied Chemistry in 2007. He received his master's degree from Sahand Technical University, Department of Polymer and Chemical Engineering in 2011, and his Ph.D. from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Chemical Engineering in 2019. He worked on various projects supported by TÜBİTAK and University resources at Istanbul Technical University, Department of Chemical Engineering, and Trakya University Faculty of Medicine. He developed a novel nanocarrier based on PEG (polyethylene glycol) coated carbon nanotubes for use in cancer treatment. His work in this area has been published in the journals of the American Chemical Society Langmuir and Springer Molecular Biology Reports.
Between October 2019 and January 2020, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at KUYTAM - KOÇ University Surface Science and Technology Center as an ICP-mass spectrophotometer specialist. 
Novel nanomaterials for biomedical applications, polymer engineering, molecular modeling, and numerical modeling are among his main areas of expertise.
