Aptullah HAHOLU, MD

Prof. Dr. Aptullah HAHOLU was born on 07.11.1968 in Artvin / Yusufeli. He graduated from Gülhane Military Medical Academy (GATA) Military Medical Faculty, which he started in 1985, in 1991. He worked as a physician in the army between 1992-1994. As a residency student, he worked at the Department of Pathology at GATA Military Medical Faculty between 1994-1997. He worked as a Pathology Specialist between 1997-2004. Between 1999-2000, he worked as a research assistant at the Department of Pathology at Georgetown University, USA. He worked as Assistant Professor between 2005-2009 and as Associate Professor between 2009-2021 in the Pathology Service of GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital. After GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital was transferred to the Ministry of Health and Health Sciences University and its name was changed to Haydarpaşa Sultan Abdülhamid Han Training and Research Hospital, he worked as an associate professor and pathology specialist in the pathology service of that hospital. He also gave Pathology lectures at Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Medicine (English), Maltepe University Faculty of Medicine (English) and Okan University Faculty of Dentistry (English). On January 25, 2017, with his own request and application, he retired from the army. He worked at Maltepe University Training and Research Hospital Pathology in 2017-2018. He started to work as a professor at Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Pathology on October 19, 2021.
