He was born in Istanbul in 1988. He completed his bachelor’s degree in 2011 at the Department of Environmental Engineering at Yıldız Technical University. He earned his master’s degree from the same university in 2014 and his Ph.D. in 2022. In his master’s thesis, he investigated the effects of climate change on water resources, and in his doctoral dissertation, he examined the use of decision support systems in integrated watershed management, using the Ergene Basin as a case study.
During his undergraduate studies, he participated in various research projects on wastewater treatment and aquatic ecosystems. After graduation, he worked as a project engineer in the private sector before turning to academic research. During this time, he has participated in various national and international research projects, most notably the “CLIMB—Climate Induced Changes on the Hydrology of Mediterranean Basins” project, funded under the European Union’s 7th Framework Program, and the “Development of a Watershed Information System” project, conducted under the TÜBİTAK 1003 program. His primary academic research areas include water resources management, climate change, environmental modeling, watershed management, water quality, and environmental sustainability.
In 2017, she began her academic career at the Üsküdar University School of Health Services as a “Lecturer” and was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2022. She currently serves as Assistant Dean, Chair of the Department of Medical Services and Techniques, and Director of the Environmental Health Program at the same school. In addition to his academic and administrative duties, he conducts educational initiatives, raises public awareness, and engages in scientific activities related to sustainable development, environmental health, ecological literacy, and climate change.
