Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO) Research and Application Laboratory was established in 2022 within SHMYO with the support of Üsküdar University Rectorate in order to enable researches such as drug discovery, synthesis of small molecules, development of OTC products, in-silico, molecular docking and biological activity studies (in vitro).
It aims to take part as a solution partner in innovative production and product development projects of the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food industry, and to cooperate widely with our university and world scientists and research and development. In addition, process management in accordance with the calls of institutions and organizations such as TÜBİTAK, TÜSEB, TAGEM are targeted and appropriate project studies are created in accordance with the vision of domestic and national production, which is among the "Strategic Goals of our country".
For this purpose, many faculty members in programs such as Medical Aromatic Plants, Food Technology, Medical Laboratory, Environmental Health and Laboratory Technology within our University are conducting advanced research on these issues.
In our Research Laboratory; associate, undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students, especially "Drug Discovery and Development", "computer-aided drug design", "development of targeted micro/nanoparticle systems", "Natural Products Chemistry and Total Synthesis", "Innovative Technologies and Formulations in Cosmetic Products", For our students who want to work in the fields of "Green Transformation Move in Industry and Waste Water Management" and "Biotechnology", they will have the opportunity to prepare their graduation projects and theses with devices, equipment and all infrastructure facilities and also focus on their professional careers.
