(2025–2029)
Goal 1: Strengthening the Quality of Education and Training
- Objective 1.1: Updating the curriculum in line with Bologna outcomes and integrating the new curriculum (phase, term, block, committee, clerkship) with accreditation standards.
- Objective 1.2: Increasing the use of simulation, skills laboratories, and digital learning materials in preclinical education.
- Objective 1.3: Expanding the “early clinical exposure” model, which emphasizes patient safety, ethical decision-making, and multidisciplinary teamwork in clinical education.
- Objective 1.4: Increasing student participation in research, public health projects, and social responsibility activities.
- Objective 1.5: Ensuring the learning outcomes of medical students through continuous assessment and evaluation processes.
- Objective 1.6: Encouraging student participation in fieldwork focused on environmental health and public health.
Goal 2: Strengthening R&D Capacity
- Objective 2.1: Increasing the participation of faculty members in projects such as TÜBİTAK, TÜSEB, and EU Horizon.
- Objective 2.2: Supporting students in taking an active role in 2209-A, 2209-B, and BAP projects.
- Objective 2.3: Increasing the proportion of faculty research published in Q1/Q2 journals.
- Objective 2.4: Strengthening translational medicine, public health, and research centers within the faculty.
- Objective 2.5: Increasing interdisciplinary projects on the relationship between environmental health, climate change, and infectious diseases.
- Objective 2.6: Increasing gender equality and diversity-based leadership in research projects.
Goal 3: Collaboration with Stakeholders and Contribution to Society
- Objective 3.1: Increasing cooperation protocols with the Ministry of Health, public hospitals, and private healthcare institutions.
- Objective 3.2: Developing the graduate tracking system and implementing post-graduation career support and continuing education programs.
- Objective 3.3: Conducting screenings and projects that contribute to public health.
- Objective 3.4: Increasing the faculty’s scientific contribution to public policymaking processes.
- Objective 3.5: Conducting free public health screenings for disadvantaged groups.
- Objective 3.6: Developing “Sustainable City and Health” projects with local governments.
Goal 4: Strengthening Internationalization
- Objective 4.1: Increasing mobility in student and faculty exchange programs.
- Objective 4.2: Increasing the number of international health-themed consortia of which the faculty is a member.
- Objective 4.3: Diversifying the English curriculum and elective courses for international students.
- Objective 4.4: Including the themes of global health and sustainability in the curriculum for international students.
- Objective 4.5: Increasing student participation in internships, field experience, and research projects by establishing strategic partnerships with the World Health Organization (WHO), UNESCO, and similar international organizations.
- Objective 4.6: Encouraging the participation of students and faculty members in national and international scientific activities, and increasing the number of international congresses and scientific events organized.
Goal 5: Continuously Developing a Culture of Quality Assurance
- Objective 5.1: Successfully completing the TEPDAD and YÖKAK accreditation processes for the faculty’s education programs.
- Objective 5.2: Supporting faculty members’ training-of-trainers activities and their development in educational technologies.
- Objective 5.3: Continuously updating digital health record systems, simulation centers, and library resources.
- Objective 5.4: Increasing energy efficiency and green campus practices in faculty buildings.
- Objective 5.5: To ensure that education and practice processes are carried out sustainably, planning the university hospital to be opened within Uskudar University in accordance with “Green Hospital” standards, and developing and implementing waste management, energy efficiency, and carbon footprint reduction programs.
- Objective 5.6: Publishing a medical journal indexed in national or international indexes and regularly organizing a medical congress.
Goal 6: Supporting Student and Employee Well-Being
- Objective 6.1: Expanding academic advising, mental health support, and mentoring programs for students.
- Objective 6.2: Supporting work-life balance and professional development activities for physicians, researchers, and administrative staff.
- Objective 6.3: Enhancing holistic well-being through sports, arts, and cultural activities within the faculty.
- Objective 6.4: Providing students with safe reporting mechanisms and free counseling support in cases of harassment, mobbing, and psychological distress.
- Objective 6.5: Protecting faculty employees through the principles of equality and inclusion, and enhancing their well-being.
