What is the Master's Program of the Department of Criminal Justice?
Criminal Justice Department Master's Program includes the criminal justice branch. In the Department of Criminal Justice Program, the crime phenomenon and criminal identity are investigated and their determination and what kind of solution suggestions can be put forward in order to ensure public order with the help of the evidence is encountered in this process.
Criminal Justice is concerned with the detection and punishment of crimes that will disrupt the order with the aim of maintaining social order. In line with this purpose, it is aimed to work on the establishment of social order by determining the crime and punishment, and determining the perpetrator and victim. It is also among the aims of criminal justice to determine the crime that has been committed as soon as possible, to give the necessary punishment to the parties and to establish the right for the person who is right.
What are the Admission Requirements for the Criminal Justice Master's Program?
The criteria applied during the admission of students to the master's program with thesis are specified in the relevant articles of the Üsküdar University Postgraduate Education and Examination Regulation.
In order to apply to the program, as a graduation requirement: A bachelor's degree in any of the fields of Science, Social or Health Sciences. Applications made from fields other than these are accepted with the proposal of the Graduate School Administrative Board and the decision of the University Senate.
To have received the lowest ALES score accepted by the Senate or its equivalent GRE and GMAT test score determined by the Interuniversity Board, provided that it is not less than 55 points from ALES in the last five years in the applications with thesis. This condition is not required for non-thesis graduate applications.
Foreign students or students residing abroad;
Have to own a bachelor's or master's degree from a university whose equivalence has been accepted by the Higher Education Council,
In the last two years, they must have received GRE or GMAT scores corresponding to ALES points or they must be successful as a result of the science examination to be held by the Scientific Committee, which is recommended by the head of the graduate-school's main science department and formed by the Graduate School Board of Directors.

Law, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Occupational Health and Safety, anthropology, political science, international relations, philosophy, Gendarmerie and the Coast Guard Academy, Police Academy graduates from outside the area for students who are accepted to the program, undergraduate and/or graduate level we offer academic preparation courses.
