Industrial Engineering (English) - Academic Activities

Üsküdar University 2023-2024 Academic Year opening will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 10:30. The ceremony will begin with the speeches of Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan and Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör. The first lecture of the new academic year will be given by TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal.We would be pleased to have all our students participate.

A program called "Green Transformation Animal Rights and Veganism Summit in the World of Science" will be organized by the Molecular Biology and Genetics Club under the leadership of the Department of Health, Culture and Sports, on Saturday, December 09, at 10:30 in the Central Campus A Block Nermin Tarhan Conference Hall. Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk, Melike Dirikoç from Vegan Earth, Dr. Kaya Bilgüvar, Dietician Bilge Sever, Dr. Ayşenur Çetinkaya Yıldırım, Funda Uğraş, Gizem Kalak and Dr. İlter Yenidede will also participate in the program to make his presentations. Maintenance Management with Prof. Dr. Mehmet Savsar

Starting date: 19-21 January 2022Industry and Leadership Club's "Xpoda Technical Trip and No-Code Training" EventIn the first event, which was held thanks to the cooperation of Üsküdar University Industry and Leadership Club and XPODA, the Business Development and Project Manager of Xpoda company, Mr. Tunç Eryiğit met at Üsküdar University Central Campus Yunus Emre Conference Hall. What is digital transformation, what is No Code, what activities does Xpoda carry out in this field and at what point Industrial Engineers are in this sector were discussed.In the other phase of the event, Xpoda's No-Code training was held at Xpoda Company. At the end of the training, the participants were given a project and asked to present these projects to the Xpoda authorities.

Starting date : 14 January 2022Industry and Leadership Club's "Start-Off: Finance" EventAnother leg of the “Start-Off” activities, which became traditional as Üsküdar University Industry and Leadership Club, was “Start-Off: Finance”. In the event where four valuable guests were present, Mr. Iskender Ada, Mr. Taner Toraman, Mr. Muharrem Uğurelli and Mr. Vedat Güven provided information to Üsküdar University Industrial Engineering Department students on topics such as finance, financial literacy, blockchain, fintech, financial consultancy, and the future of finance. Our guests, who explained what kind of fields our students, who are candidates for Industrial Engineers, can work in this sector and what kind of competencies they should have for a good career, shed light on our students in this field.

Starting date: 12 January 2022Industry and Leadership Club's "Oba Perdesan Technical Trip" EventOur students, who are members of Üsküdar University Industry and Leadership Club, visited the factory of Oba Perdesan, which has been operating in our country since 1972, in the Kocaeli/Gebze location on this technical trip. They had the opportunity to closely examine all stages of production on issues such as technical textiles, roller blind fabric production, marketing and after-sales support services.

Starting date: 26 November 2021Industry and Leadership Club's "Start-Off : Consulting" EventThe “Start-Off : Consulting” event held at Üsküdar University Central Campus Kuleli hall was the traditional event of this period, known as the “Start-Off” series. Working as a consultant at Mastercard, one of the world's leading companies, Mr. Talha Berkay Bozkurt was hosted. Important information about consultancy was given to our Industrial Engineering Department students. Mr. While Bozkurt gives information about what is consultancy, where is the place of Industrial Engineer in consultancy, and what are the activities of Mastercard; In the event with approximately 100 participants, valuable guest Mr. Talha Berkay Bozkurt did not leave any questions unanswered.

Starting date : 9 November 2021Meet Event of Industry and Leadership Club MembersThe Industry and Leadership Club, founded by Üsküdar University Industrial Engineering Department students, came together with their Board of Directors and their students who are members of the club. The event, which started with the introduction of the Board of Directors, was attended by Club President Mr. Sefa Burak Bilim continued by giving information about the club's event plans, committee duties, and the history of the club this term. Finally, the members talked about their expectations from the club.

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Savsar, Dr. Muhammet Enis Bulak and Dr. Orkun Kozanoğlu attended the 4th International Symposium on Multidisciplinary Studies and Innovative Technologies conference on 22-24 October 2021 with his paper titled "Optimization of Surgical Schedules at a Specialist Hospital: A case Application" online in Turkey.

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Savsar and Dr. Hasan Çiçek attended the 5th International Symposium on Multidisciplinary Studies and Innovative Technologies conference on 21-23 October 2021 in Turkey with his statement titled "Effects of Maintenance Policies on Production Costs and Systems Reliability in Canned Food Factory".

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Savsar and Dr. Hasan Çiçek attended the 5th International Symposium on Multidisciplinary Studies and Innovative Technologies conference on 21-23 October 2021 with his paper titled "Analysis and Improvement of Production Planning Processes in a Food Factory" online in Turkey.
