Bioengineering (English) - Academic Activities

Üsküdar University 2023-2024 Academic Year opening will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 10:30. The ceremony will begin with the speeches of Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan and Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör. The first lecture of the new academic year will be given by TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal.We would be pleased to have all our students participate.

A program called "Green Transformation Animal Rights and Veganism Summit in the World of Science" will be organized by the Molecular Biology and Genetics Club under the leadership of the Department of Health, Culture and Sports, on Saturday, December 09, at 10:30 in the Central Campus A Block Nermin Tarhan Conference Hall. Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk, Melike Dirikoç from Vegan Earth, Dr. Kaya Bilgüvar, Dietician Bilge Sever, Dr. Ayşenur Çetinkaya Yıldırım, Funda Uğraş, Gizem Kalak and Dr. İlter Yenidede will also participate in the program to make his presentations. As part of the BEN213 Biosensors course, the instructor of the course Dr. Betül Gürünlü and Bioengineering students organized a trip to ITU Nanotechnology and Application Research Center. In the event, Dr. Ilgın Nar accompanied in ITU Nanotechnology and Application Research Center to the students of the Bioengineering Department.As part of the visit, 'Sensor Production and Characterization Laboratories' were introduced to the students.The questions of the students, who had the opportunity to see the theoretical knowledge in practice, were also answered.The event ended after a group photo shoot.

In this seminar, Dr. Instructor Member Gülnihal Tokgöz Hyusen shared with the participants information about the universe, the observable universe, the theory of expansion of the universe, space telescopes, the formation of black holes, the physical properties of black holes, the interesting behaviors caused by these features, as well as black hole spectroscopy, which is his area of expertise, and theories that could be the end of the universe. and answered the questions of the participants at the end of the activity.
