1.1.1. Our Quality Policy

Our school's quality policies are in line with our University's 2024-2028 Strategic Plan (see https://uskudar.edu.tr/tr/kalite-komizyonu). Accordingly, the Quality Policy of our Faculty is built on the following principles.Turkey's State Planning Organization and socio-cultural development in accordance with the vision and objectives set by the Higher Education Council, to contribute to the educational goals of our country by education and training to the Bologna process.


To contribute to science in the field of ethical values, morale and spiritual guidance, which are becoming increasingly important in developed countries, lacking in global economic and social crises and having the potential to be of great importance in the near future.

To support the economic and external reputation of our country by making education in different languages in the future, making it attractive for foreign students to come to our country.
To create a center of attraction for qualified faculty members in the international arena To conduct scientific research to present the socio-cultural and historical riches of our country to the service of humanity.

1.1.3. Our Basic Strategy

Our quality policy; To educate students who are trying to understand people and society, thinking about the causes and consequences of change and transformation, and can make inferences about the future. The principle of our quality strategy is that our students grow up as individuals who are tolerant, analytical, give importance to critical and critical thinking, respect national and international values, have positive thinking and problem solving skills, are competent in their fields and have academic equipment in accordance with the requirements of the age.


1.1.4.Quality Management System Elements

1.1.4.1. School Management, Boards and Commissions

Quality Management processes at our school are carried out with the understanding of periodic and continuous improvement. Our School Quality Commission, which carries out studies to determine and achieve goals and objectives in line with the principles determined by the Quality Coordinator established within our university, is the central element of the Quality Management System. Our College Quality Commission meets at regular intervals and works with the strategy of “continuous improvement”. (See Commissions File) Every part of our school is represented in the Quality Commission. In addition, School Management, School Board, Department Heads, Erasmus and Bologna Coordinators are other executive elements of the quality management process.

1.1.4.2. Our Stakeholders

Definitions

Definition of Internal Stakeholders: The primary internal stakeholders of our unit are students and academic staff working in the unit. Assessment and evaluation studies and meetings are organized in order to ensure the active participation of internal stakeholders in the training-education process.

At our school, stakeholders are encouraged to participate in decision making. Feedback from stakeholders; It is measured by various mechanisms such as joint studies, meetings, satisfaction, improvement and feedback surveys and face-to-face interviews and these reports are included in the continuous improvement cycle.

Our academic staff and students are among the elements of the quality management process. Through the Academic Board, Commission and Department meetings held in our school, faculty lecturers participate in the determination and implementation of quality policies and strategies. Our students are included in the process of determining and implementing quality policies and strategies through Student Counseling, Student Representatives, periodic surveys and face-to-face interviews.

External Stakeholder Definition: The external stakeholders of our school are graduates, employers, non-governmental organizations, professional chambers, representatives of public-private institutions and organizations, and other universities.

Participation of the external stakeholders of the department in decision-making and improvement processes is provided through face-to-face interviews, support for the teaching process, meetings, surveys and media.

Informing the external stakeholders about the decisions and practices in the unit is done through the faculty-department website and the media.

Quality Culture

The School Quality Commission plans seminar programs for students and faculty in order to promote the culture of quality. Opinion exchange was started in order to enable external stakeholders to participate and contribute to the process.

PDCA Cycle

The Quality Assurance Process in our school is operated within the framework of PDCA (Plan, Apply, Check, Take Precautionary) cycle. The applicability of the education-training objectives planned in line with the determined goals and objectives are inspected, and measures are taken by making improvements in the areas deemed necessary.

Internalization

One of the assurance elements of our quality policy is the internalization of our quality policy and strategy by internal stakeholders. The academic studies of our academic staff (articles, books, papers, etc. see http://ebys.uskudar.edu.tr) and the stages of creating the learning outcomes of our students - course performances, out-of-school performance, assignments, reading, projects and theses etc. (see OBS and STIX) - are the internalized outputs of our quality policy.
The regularization of internalization activities between students and academic staff in our school and the continuation of the suggestions arising in these meetings at the Department Board meetings are ensured by continuing (and implemented).

Stakeholder Sharing

In order to participate and contribute to the quality assurance system of internal stakeholders, Department Meetings and Academic Board meetings and Orientation Meetings for students are organized at the beginning of each academic year. (See ÜU Orientation Programs Web Page) Students are in constant communication with both department heads and advisors, and all kinds of educational activities. In addition, the departments make the necessary arrangements by determining their students' opinions and suggestions regarding the education and training activities by measuring and evaluating method at least once in each semester. The Solution Center enables students to contribute to the quality assurance system through their requests and opinions. Sharing meetings, training and interaction programs are planned with relevant non-governmental organizations, associations and sectoral representatives in order to contribute to this system, and to receive opinions about education and training activities and the sector. (See Stakeholder File)

Monitoring and Improvement Process

Our school monitors the compatibility of mission, vision, strategic goals and performance indicators to the quality assurance system with annual reports (See Annual Report, Academic Performance Report, Student Satisfaction Surveys, Stakeholder Sharing Surveys File) prepared in accordance with the strategic plan and improvements in the required areas. plans.
