Üsküdar University was founded in 2011 as Turkey's first university in the field of Behavioral Sciences and Health. The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (ITBF), established in the same year, accepted its first students in the 2012-2013 academic year.
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, which offers contemporary education to its students, aims to graduate its students as well-equipped and entrepreneurial individuals who have analytical thinking in their fields of specialization, have developed application and research skills, and can take part in international platforms.

The academic staff of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, where studies are carried out to better understand and explain human beings and society, contribute to the world of science in an effort to understand human beings and society with qualified and meticulous studies; on the other hand, it carries out its studies in an effort to transfer both scientific and personal knowledge to students and society.
Aim of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences aims to contribute to national and international studies and produce science based on scientific, contemporary and critical perspective, humanitarian and ethical values. In addition to the scientific studies in the theoretical field, students are provided with a unique science and practice environment with the application opportunities offered to students.

In addition to providing students with a solid academic background, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences educates open-minded, cultured and knowledgeable world people with its compulsory and elective courses offered in a broad perspective. The interdisciplinary approach it follows enables students to gain knowledge in new fields and have a career in different sectors.
