The Department of Sociology and the Department of Philosophy at our faculty have successfully completed the evaluation process conducted by the Association for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Academic Programs in the Faculties of Science, Letters, Science and Letters, Languages, and History and Geography (FEDEK), and have been granted full accreditation for a period of five years, valid from April 2, 2026, to September 2031. |
This achievement demonstrates that the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences has strengthened the quality of its education and teaching, program competencies, student-centered approach, assessment and evaluation processes, stakeholder participation, and continuous improvement mechanisms in line with national quality standards.
Üsküdar University views quality as a continuous journey of development embedded at the core of its institutional culture. In line with this philosophy, our faculty regularly monitors and enhances its educational programs not only within the framework of current academic standards but also in accordance with evolving societal needs, scientific advancements, stakeholder expectations, and the principles of quality assurance in higher education.

The accreditation processes ensured that our programs were reviewed by independent external evaluation mechanisms; the curriculum structure, program outcomes, academic staff, student support services, alumni relations, internal and external stakeholder participation, quality assurance system, and continuous improvement practices were comprehensively evaluated. The successful completion of these processes signifies that the quality of our faculty’s education in the humanities and social sciences has been recognized at the national level.
For our students, accreditation is not merely a certificate of quality; it is an important assurance that the program they are enrolled in is evaluated, monitored, and continuously improved according to specific standards. For our graduates, these accreditations serve as a valuable indicator that highlights the quality of their educational experiences and provides institutional confidence in their academic and professional development journeys.
