Üsküdar University will be the priority sponsor and host of the 10th World Congress on Positive Psychology. Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan will lead the congress as co-chair of the organizing committee.
The congress, which will bring together researchers, academics, mental health professionals, educators, policymakers, and practitioners from all over the world in Istanbul, will be held under the theme "Where Cultures Meet, Humanity Flourishes".

Üsküdar University, the first thematic university in our country in the fields of behavioral sciences and health, which has been carrying out important studies in positive psychology since its establishment and brought together prominent figures from the international arena in Türkiye with the 8th International Congress on Positive Psychology it organized this year, is now preparing to host the 10th World Congress on Positive Psychology.
The 10th World Congress on Positive Psychology, one of the most respected scientific organizations in the field of positive psychology worldwide, will be held in Istanbul between July 7-10, 2027. Üsküdar University will support the congress, organized by the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA), as a priority sponsor and host institution.
The congress, which will bring together researchers, academics, mental health professionals, educators, policymakers, and practitioners from all over the world in Istanbul, will be held at the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel & Conference Center.
President of Üsküdar University, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan will serve at the congress not only as the representative of the host university but also as Co-Chair of the Organizing Committee established by IPPA. Thus, Türkiye will be one of the countries leading one of the most important international organizations in positive psychology at an academic and scientific level.

Istanbul set to become the heart of global positive psychology
The 10th World Congress on Positive Psychology, organized biennially by the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA), will be held under the theme "Where Cultures Meet, Humanity Flourishes".
Throughout the congress, many topics such as the most current scientific research in positive psychology, mental health and psychological well-being, education, health, business life, technology, public policies, meaning and purpose, wisdom, cross-cultural psychology, human relationships, and strengths-based approaches will be addressed by leading experts from around the world.

Üsküdar University once again demonstrates its international vision
Üsküdar University, which has pioneered the academic development of positive psychology in Türkiye, has organized numerous international congresses, scientific publications, and educational programs in this field since its establishment.
The university has made significant contributions to the development of the field with the International Congresses on Positive Psychology it has organized since 2016, standing out as one of the pioneering higher education institutions that integrated positive psychology into undergraduate and postgraduate education processes.

Prof. Nevzat Tarhan to be co-chair of the organizing committee
While Üsküdar University will take an active role in the preparation process of the congress, Prof. Nevzat Tarhan will also contribute to scientific and organizational efforts as Co-Chair of the Organizing Committee.
Prof. Tarhan previously chaired the International Congresses on Positive Psychology organized by Üsküdar University.
IPPA's 20th anniversary to be celebrated in Istanbul
The congress coincides with the 20th anniversary of the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA). In this respect, Istanbul will host a historic gathering in the global development of positive psychology.
IPPA Congress President and President-Elect Dr. Tayyab Rashid states that the congress theme has a strong connection with Istanbul's historical identity, expressing that Istanbul, which has connected continents, cultures, and civilizations for centuries, is one of the most meaningful cities for such an organization focusing on human development and well-being.
