As a thematic university in the fields of Behavioral and Health Sciences, Üsküdar University, which makes significant contributions to higher education, officially established the Faculty of Medicine on March 15, 2018, with the aim of being of high quality and universal. In the Faculty of Medicine, future physicians are trained both as scientists and equipped with the necessary competencies for practice in medicine. Üsküdar University has come to the fore especially in the field of health and has become one of the higher education institutions that train professionals in many fields of health professions in Turkey. The Faculty of Medicine was planned and established at the highest level in terms of infrastructure and academic equipment.
Uskudar University Faculty of Medicine
In order to benefit from the practical training of the Faculty of Medicine, there is an affiliation with the full-fledged, 100-bed NPiSTANBUL Brain Hospital, as well as with the fully-equipped Istanbul Ataşehir Memorial Hospital with a capacity of 143 beds. Medical Faculty Campus has a physical infrastructure of 7 thousand square meters that can meet all its needs. It has a rich library. In addition, there are application/research centers and multidisciplinary laboratories such as Neuropsychopharmacology Application and Research Center (NPFUAM), Neuropsychiatry Health Application and Research Center (NPSUAM), Experimental Research Unit (ÜSKÜDAB), Üsküdar University Medical Radiation Application and Research Center (ÜSMERA), Personalized Treatment Application and Research Center (KİMER). With these opportunities, it has reached universal quality standards in both medical education and health services. Students who achieved high success in the Student Selection Exam can be accepted to Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine, all with at least half scholarship and one third with full scholarship. They graduate as modern physicians who are willing to research and publish, follow and apply innovations, and can see the future in all fields of medicine. There are two programs in Faculty of Medicine, one in Turkish and the other in English. Hybrid Education Model (Integrated + Problem Based Learning Model) is applied in our medical education. This training consists of 3 stages: Pre-Clinical Education, Clinical Education and Internship Periods, in which Basic and Clinical Sciences are integrated.

Rotations of the Internship Period include Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Public Health, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Psychiatry, Neurology, Skin and Venereal Diseases.

Ayhan Songar Library has two floors, 550 m2 area, 120-person seating capacity, 21 printed scientific journal subscriptions, 6 group study rooms and infrastructure and screen-supported technology that will provide all kinds of audio-visual connections in the rooms, 15,000 shelves capacity, over 3,000 medical units.
