Üsküdar University, the first thematic university in the fields of Behavioral Science and Health, has officially founded its School of Medicine. The decision was published in the Official Gazette on March 14 Medical Day and therefore the number of faculties increased to 5.
Üsküdar University, the first thematic university in the fields of Behavioral Sciences and Health, will start to provide medical education. School of Medicine is established under Üsküdar University Presidency.
“The decision on the Establishment and Closure of the Faculty Depending on Some Higher Education Institutions” was published on March 14 Medicine Day in the Official Gazette.
The number of faculties has increased to 5 after establishing Faculty of Medicine. Üsküdar University which was founded on 3 March 2011 by İDER (Humanitarian Values) Foundation under the presidency of Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, offers education communication, health sciences, engineering and natural sciences, human and social sciences with the understanding of multidisciplinary expertise and offers education to more than 16,000 students in four faculties, one vocational school and five institutes.
In addition to the Faculties of Communication, Health Sciences, Engineering and Natural Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, the Vocational School of Health Services and the Institute of Social Sciences, Science, Health Sciences, Forensic Sciences and Sufi Studies are also included.
Üsküdar University offers its students the opportunity to conduct research in their own laboratories as well as an academic education.
The students have internship and application opportunities at Üsküdar University application partner NPİSTANBUL Brain Hospital and NP Etiler and NP Feneryolu Medical Centers.
Üsküdar University has exchange programs with various universities from different countries.
