Consultation Liaison Psychiatry is a discipline based on the understanding that health is an inseparable whole with its physical and mental dimensions and that they affect each other. It aims to provide patients with psychiatric treatment and psychosocial care simultaneously with medical treatment and care. In line with the scientific approach that the disease cannot be treated without understanding the patient, this discipline helps to address the human being in his/her physical, mental and social integrity. Psychooncology can be considered as a sub-branch of this discipline or under the umbrella of Health Psychology.

- Psychological and behavioral factors involved in the occurrence of cancer
- The psychological effects of cancer on patients, their families and the treatment team
- Various psychological and behavioral reactions experienced by cancer patients during diagnosis, treatment and advanced stages of the disease
