Our Mission
Our core mission is to train qualified communication professionals who can perceive the world they live in holistically and who are able to approach events and situations with a questioning, critical, and analytical mindset. To fulfill this mission at the highest level, we emphasize providing a comprehensive communication education where theory and practice complement each other. Alongside our qualified academic staff, our state-of-the-art radio and television studios enable students to put their theoretical classroom knowledge into practice.
Our Vision
Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication envisions cultivating intellectual individuals and qualified professionals who will look to the future with confidence and be ready to take responsibility for shaping it. This is achieved through a strong academic staff, laboratories and radio-TV studios equipped with the latest technology, and a human-centered approach to communication education. A key part of our near-future strategy is to become a prestigious educational institution and center of scientific production, not only nationally but also internationally. In this regard, our faculty implemented international student exchange programs starting from its very first year. Because we do not wish to limit our students’ sphere of activity to the university campus alone. We want them to open up to the world, get to know other countries and societies, and engage in enriching exchanges in different cultural environments. This way, the communication professionals we train will be equipped to meet international standards.
