Üsküdar University’s MAC Laboratories, located within the Faculty of Communication, provide students with a high-performance digital production environment that enables them to be trained in accordance with the requirements of the digital age. The laboratories are located on the Ground Floor of Block C at the South Campus, in a modern area equipped with special ventilation and cabling infrastructure.
What Is the Purpose of the MAC Laboratories?
Main Purpose: The main purpose of establishing the MAC Laboratories is to fully meet all the technical and software infrastructure requirements of the applied courses included in the curriculum of the Visual Communication Design Department of the Faculty of Communication. The laboratory serves as a bridge between theoretical knowledge and practical projects.
Devices and Technical Equipment Available in the Laboratory
The laboratory infrastructure is configured with high-configuration and high-processing-capacity hardware to ensure uninterrupted performance during intensive graphics processing and visual design processes.
- Total Number of Computers: A total of 82 MAC computers are available in two separate laboratories, with 40+1 computers in each laboratory.
- Hardware Class: High-configuration hardware with high processing capacity.
- Software Infrastructure: Adobe software, which is the industry standard for two-dimensional design and publishing processes (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
- Presentation and Display Systems: A projection device and smart projection system for interactive monitoring of educational processes.
- Network and Comfort Infrastructure: High-speed internet access, a special ventilation system, and special cabling infrastructure.
