Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) Cycle
At Uskudar University, the PDCA Cycle (Plan – Do – Check – Act) is one of the fundamental building blocks of the quality assurance system. In order to continuously improve quality across the University, all academic and administrative processes are carried out on the basis of this cycle.
At Uskudar University, the PDCA Cycle is implemented as follows:
Plan (P)
In line with its strategic goals and mission, Uskudar University systematically plans all its academic and administrative processes.
Goals are set in the areas of education, research and social contribution.
Planning is carried out by taking into account the views of internal and external stakeholders.
Alignment is ensured with the criteria of the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) and the internal quality assurance system.
The strategic plan, academic calendar, performance targets and annual activity plans are prepared at this stage.

Curriculum implementation, research projects, social contribution activities and student support services are put into effect.
Student-centered approaches are applied in education and teaching.
Processes are conducted in accordance with the relevant legislation and quality standards.
Activities are carried out with roles clearly defined in line with the job descriptions of academic and administrative staff.
Check (C)
The effectiveness of the implemented activities and the extent to which they align with the goals are measured and evaluated.
Tools such as student satisfaction surveys, academic achievement indicators and graduate feedback are used.
Internal and external evaluation reports, self-assessment processes and internal audit results are analyzed.
Performance indicators are monitored.
Regular monitoring is carried out in all units through internal quality assurance commissions.
Act (A)
Based on the findings, the necessary corrective and improvement measures are taken.
Action plans are prepared for areas where goals have not been achieved.
Education and teaching programs, administrative processes and services are revised.
