MENUS-MC Academy Trainings and Applications

MCNP Monte Carlo Simulation Techniques in Medical and Nuclear Applications (MENUS-MC Academy), which will be held at Üsküdar University Medical Radiation Research and Application Center (ÜSMERA) on September 5-6, 2015, will be held in Medical Sciences, Nuclear Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Medical Physics, Nuclear Physics, Detection Physics, MENUS-MC Academy offers the opportunity for many students and academicians from undergraduate, graduate and academic fields to work on the basic principles of MCNP (Monte Carlo Neutron Proton) simulation program, modeling, application writing, running, data acquisition.

MENUS-MC Academy offers participants the opportunity to specialize in the field of Monte Carlo and will take place at 3-month intervals throughout the year. Consisting of 4 levels of training, MENUS-MC Academy will provide a training opportunity for participants from Level 1, Beginner, to Level 4, #ProUser, and will allow participants to write and professionally use the simulation input of their choice according to their field of study. Participants will receive certificates at the end of each training.

MENUS-MC #1 - Level 1 - Beginning (August of Every Year)

MENUS-MC #2 - Level 2 - Intermediate (November of each year)

MENUS-MC #3 - Level 3 - Advanced (February of each year)

MENUS-MC#4 - Level 4 - ProUser (May of each year)

At the end of the Monte Carlo Training Program, which will be carried out withinÜSMERA / MENUS-MC Academy and will be completed in 4 levels, the user will reach the level of a Professional User in the field covering a whole such as writing their own monte carlo input in parallel with their scientific data, geometry modeling, running, data analysis, data extraction, data graphing. This 4 level training program will take place at 3-month intervals within 1 year and the user will consolidate the training he/she has received in the intervening 3 months and make preliminary preparations for the next training with the guidance of the Scientific Committee.

Note: Day 2 Training on Sunday, September 6, 2015 is all about One-on-One Work and Implementation by Users and Trainers.

PARTICIPATION TERMS and FEES

Participation fee is 350 TL. (Participation Fee Includes Training Materials, Tea-Coffee Breaks, Participation Certificate and Trip)

Participants are required to bring their personal computers with ^WindowsTM operating system installed to the training.

Course materials, bags, etc. will be provided by ÜSMERA during registration.
