Occupational Health is the efforts to maintain and improve the physical, mental and social well-being of employees in all professions.
The two universal concepts of "work" and "health" are considered in a wide scope. No matter where they are, the health of the employee is always at risk due to various hazards and is negatively affected within the framework of low or high probabilities. "Safety", which is one of the important elements of occupational health, is addressed from a health and legal perspective.
Üsküdar University Occupational Health and Safety Department trains occupational specialists to increase the health capacity of the employee, to measure, evaluate and take precautions against all health hazards that may arise from the working environment and the environment, to create jobs suitable for the anatomical, physiological and psychological characteristics of the employee or to ensure that the characteristics of the employee are suitable for the characteristics of the job.
The Occupational Health and Safety Training Laboratory operates with the aim of training experts who identify problems and produce solutions for healthy employees.
In this laboratory, our students can be given trainings on Personal Protective Equipment, working at height and first aid.
