The Department of Midwifery aims to educate qualified midwives who contribute to the protection, promotion and maintenance of the health of women, newborns, families and the community, and who integrate scientific knowledge and evidence-based practices with professional values. The program aims for students to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies in the areas of pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, newborn care, reproductive health, family planning and community health.
By supporting their theoretical education with simulation laboratories and clinical practice, students have the opportunity to develop their professional decision-making, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, leadership and research skills.
Our department aims to educate midwives who are committed to ethical values, use technology effectively, and are innovative, entrepreneurial, research-oriented and dedicated to lifelong learning.
By participating in national and international congresses, symposia and scientific events, our students follow current developments and have the opportunity to present their scientific work as oral and poster presentations. In this way, they support their professional development while also strengthening their academic perspectives.
