Development is influenced by many factors such as health, environment and nutrition. "Nurturing Care", which addresses development in early childhood in a multifaceted way, is a framework supported by the World Health Organization that evaluates these factors in a detailed and holistic manner. Nurturing Care encompasses all the components that children need to reach their innate capacities. Given the importance of a holistic assessment of the first years of life for the development of the individual, research on early childhood development is of critical importance. The "Early Childhood Development Working Group" plans to conduct research led by the Department of Child Development to better understand how our bodies and minds are built through early childhood experiences.
