Demet Gülaldı, is a graduate of Hacettepe University, Child Development and Education Department. She completed her master's degree in Psychology / Developmental Psychology at Maltepe University and PhD in Psychology/Developmental Psychology at Maltepe University.
Guladi has worked for many years in the fields of children with special needs and families, special education, sports for intellectual disability and supported employment for the disabled people.
Between 2007 and 2008, Gulaldi studied a postgraduate program in the field early intervention and special education in the United States with a Fulbright Humphrey Scholarship. During her Humphrey year in the USA, she did a professional internship at UNICEF and Center on Human Development and Disability, University of Washington.
Continuing her academic studies as well as her professional career, Demet Gulaldi attended many congresses, seminars and meetings and made presentations. Various articles and book chapters have been published.
Demet Gulaldi has been serving as the chairman of the board of directors of the Association of professionals working in the field of social services. She also serves as the general secretary in the Executive Committee of Council of International Fellowship which has 35 national branches from all over the World.
