OBJECTIVES:

The aim of Solution Focused Women's Problems Research Application Center;
Investigation of the source of gender inequality in Turkey and conducting research that will serve to support the development of solutions, to contribute to the proliferation of women's researches to be carried out at Üsküdar University and to develop planning and strategy on the subject. The Center also aims to contribute to the implementation of research, education, policy development and implementation projects aimed at preventing women's human rights violations and ensuring gender equality, at the level of consultancy or expertise. The Center aims to prepare special training programs for managers, experts and implementers of policies, plans and projects aiming at solving women's problems and integrating gender equality into public policies.

FIELDS OF ACTIVITY:

The Center operates in the following areas in order to achieve the objectives stipulated in article 5 of this Regulation:

a) To carry out research and investigation projects on all direct or indirect issues related to women's issues, to participate in and support such studies,

b) To carry out studies that will contribute to the protection and development of women's rights,

c) To organize national and international courses, seminars, conferences, congresses and similar activities on women-related issues, to encourage participation in these events, by acquiring rights of women and to be individual in the modern society,

d) To give lectures and seminars on women's issues at the university at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels and to participate in these activities.

e) Conducting investigations and researches in line with requests from public institutions and other legal entities, providing training and consultancy services,

f) To make, let to be made and promote publications, build libraries and archives in this regard,

g) Collaborating with domestic and foreign organizations regarding their activities,

h) To organize social and cultural activities in cooperation with the University and related institutions and organizations in line with the purposes of the Center,

ı) To evaluate and help a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) person regardless of their sexual orientation, in situations where societies and individuals pose a problem in terms of mental health,

i) To publish academic papers regarding the issues stated in the article ‘ı’.”

j)  To carry out other activities to be determined by the Board of Directors.
