OBJECTIVES:
- To carry out all kinds of studies necessary to fulfill the duties assigned to higher education institutions by Article 12 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, in units providing services related to Occupational Safety, Occupational Health (Health and Safety of Employees) and Environmental Health, to be able to respond to the needs of societies in the field of Occupational Safety, Occupational Health (Health and Safety of Employees) and Environmental Health by investigating the reasons that cause all kinds of disruptions in the service area,
- To organize congresses, conferences, seminars and courses and to make scientific publications in cooperation with domestic and foreign organizations that conduct research on Occupational Safety, Occupational Health (Health and Safety of Employees) and Environmental Health,
- To ensure that Turkish scientists and experts trained in Occupational Safety, Occupational Health (Health and Safety of Employees) and Environmental Health can follow the relevant developments in foreign countries,
- To carry out studies to transfer the results of scientific researches in the field of Occupational Safety, Occupational Health (Health and Safety of Employees) and Environmental Health to technology for the benefit of the country and humanity and to cooperate with other institutions and organizations for this purpose,
- To create a documentation, archive and library on Occupational Safety, Occupational Health (Health and Safety of Employees) and Environmental Health,
- Establishing accredited Occupational Safety, Occupational Health (Employee Health and Safety) and Environmental Health laboratories and conducting standard measurements and analyzes,
- To carry out studies to improve the quality of Occupational Safety, Occupational Health (Health and Safety of Employees) and Environmental Health education at all levels within the University, to conduct risk assessments on health and safety and to organize consultancy services to societies, industry and all kinds of institutions in need on Occupational Safety, Occupational Health (Health and Safety of Employees) and Environmental Health issues,
- To carry out all kinds of activities to raise awareness of Occupational Safety, Occupational Health (Health and Safety of Employees) and Environmental Health in the society,
- To take an active role in the introduction and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety Education in faculties and related departments, as recommended by the Higher Education Council (YÖK) in its letter to universities dated 10.2.2010 and numbered 05092,
- In addition, to make every effort to make Üsküdar University the most important reference center in this field in our country by taking part in all researches to be conducted on this subject for the industry of our country,
- To explain through various activities what Occupational Safety, Occupational Health (Health and Safety of Employees) and Environmental Health, which are almost never read as a course in our country's universities, mean for the professional people who will graduate from the departments,
- By ensuring the cooperation of our university with the industry and local administrations of our country, it is to provide important scientific activities and therefore scientific contributions to both our university, our people and our country's industry, Occupational Safety, Occupational Health (Health and Safety of Employees) and the health and safety of our environment.
