With biofeedback, individuals learn to control their bodily reactions that cause them distress. With electrodes attached to the knuckles of the fingers, muscle resistance, skin temperature, heart rate are monitored, and work is done to recognize the right and regulate the wrong one. With respiratory biofeedback, they learn to breathe correctly with the belt attached to the diaphragm, incorrect breathing is corrected, EMG biofeedback is used to relax the tense areas in the muscles and relaxation is taught with images and data. Vaginismus is solved with the apparatus used for vaginismus.
