- METİFLAM Director Prof. Dr. Nesrin Kartal Özer was elected to the editorial staff of IUBMB Life and FEBS Open Bio, two internationally respected scientific journals.
- Our university was elected as an editor of the "Metabolic and Inflammatory Diseases: Pathophysiology and Treatment" organized by METİFLAM.
- Our METİFLAM deputy director Dr. Assist. Prof. Dr. Tuğçe DEMİREL-YALÇINER presented the poster titled "Hepatic Seipin Deficiency Reduces Cholesterol Mediated Lipid Droplet Maturation Dependent Of Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress But Not Lipophagy" at the SFRR-E "From Molecules To Tissues: Redox Biology In Action" at the international congress.

- Our METIFLAM director Prof. Dr. Nesrin KARTAL ÖZER presented a Keynote lecture titled "Hepatocyte seipin silencing reduces cholesterol mediated lipid droplet maturation in fatty liver model" as an invited speaker at the "Redox Biology: A paradigm of the Foundation of Life" congress organized by the Serbian Society for Mitochondrial and Free Radical Physiology in Belgrade between 27-29 September 2024.
