Students who have earned the right to final registration from the regular or reserve list for the 2026-2027 Fall Semester are required to come to the student affairs unit located at the Çarşı Campus with the original copies of their application documents, fill out the "Registration Form," submit the documents listed below, and then complete their transactions at the accounting unit located at the Central Campus.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS SOUGHT IN CANDIDATES

• Students who hold an undergraduate degree outside the field are required to take Scientific Preparation courses.

General Requirements: You may enroll in a program with thesis or non-thesis option. For the thesis option, commonly, you will be required to take 7 or more courses in a minimum of two semesters and work for a thesis which typically lasts about 2 semesters or more. The non-thesis option means you are required to take 10 or more courses in about 3 semesters and a project needs to be completed in a minimum of one semester. Please check the details of each program as they may vary.

Dear Students,

The 2026–2027 Course Catalog for the Master’s Program in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (English), with or without a thesis—which is required for registration—is attached. You may select your courses based on the following information:

• The courses EEE 590 and EEE 595 are offered only in the Thesis-Based Master’s Program,
• the course EEE 596 is offered only in the Non-Thesis Master’s Program,
• and the other courses are offered in both the Thesis-Based and Non-Thesis Master’s Programs.

We wish you all a successful and productive year.

In the 2026-2027 Fall Semester, no science exam will be administered in the Thesis/Non-Thesis programs;

• In our Thesis programs, 65% of the ALES score in the Quantitative score type and 35% of the undergraduate graduation grade point average will be taken into account.
• In Non-Thesis programs, 50% of the undergraduate graduation grade and 50% of the relevant ALES score type (if available) will be taken into account.
• For candidates applying to Non-Thesis programs who do not have an ALES score, a score of 55 will be accepted for ranking purposes.

Who Can Apply to the Electrical-Electronics Engineering Master's Program?

Graduates holding an undergraduate diploma in Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics-Communication Engineering, and related scientific fields may apply to the program.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS SOUGHT IN CANDIDATES

ALES and YDS result documents (a score of 55 or above in any field type on the ALES and YDS exams)

Applicant candidates will be admitted in order of success ranking.

Candidates without an ALES document may apply to the master's program under special student status.

ALES documents are not required for candidates applying to the Non-Thesis Master's Program.

Applicants from outside the field will be subject to 1 academic year of Scientific Preparation education (which will not count toward the Master's degree education).
