With the development of technology, computers have become an indispensable part of teaching and academic life as they have started to occupy a large part of our lives. Computers are one of the most important elements of teaching with their advantages such as the active involvement of students in the learning process, bringing vitality and diversity to teaching, increasing the learning speed of students by providing fast and accurate feedback, and enabling experiments that are difficult or impossible to do physically in the classroom environment to be done with the help of simulations.
Computer Laboratory Purposes of Use
Students who spend more time in the laboratory will be more effective in developing applications relevant to their work. Students who apply their projects to real-world problems during their education will gain experience in understanding the requirements of business life much earlier and will be more inclined to gain relevant experience. With this in mind, Üsküdar University Computer Laboratory was established with the aim of educating students who are practitioners.
In addition to the students of the Software Engineering department, students from other departments of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences also take courses in the laboratory.
Students can use the modern laboratory, which has high-speed internet, outside the classroom. Not only undergraduate but also graduate students work in this laboratory with their instructors in their thesis studies, projects, research and applications.
Courses Offered in the Computer Laboratory
The computers in the laboratory have installed programs used in programming, database design, mathematical computation and modeling, graphic design, electronic circuit simulation.
This laboratory is especially used in application development courses such as Programming Languages, Data Structures, Database Systems, Algorithm Design, Computer Networks, Human Computer Interaction, Software Engineering, Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence, Web Programming.
