The need for physiotherapy applications in injuries, diseases, disabilities, musculoskeletal disorders and pain and dysfunctions caused by various diseases is increasing. In the success of the treatments, it is of great importance that the necessary applications are carried out by well-trained physiotherapy technicians. The aim of the program is to train auxiliary health personnel who are deficient in the field of physical therapy application and trained in this field.
The task of the physiotherapy technician is to provide safe and effective treatment of patients by performing planned treatments (electrotherapy and basic medical exercises) for patients under the supervision of physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist or physiotherapist. Physiotherapy techniques students use hot-cold modalities such as hotpack and coldpack, electrotherapy devices including TENS, interferential currents, ultrasound, infrared and traction devices during their education at our university and in their professional lives after their education. The application studies of these devices are carried out in the Physiotherapy Laboratory.
Physiotherapy Laboratory was established to improve the knowledge and skills of Physiotherapy Program students related to their profession, to enable them to make the necessary applications, to learn the use of devices, and to train them as knowledgeable and equipped physiotherapy technicians.

This laboratory, which provides the necessary education in the field of physiotherapy, provides an environment where our students can learn electrotherapy methods and the use of devices. The physical agents in the laboratory (TENS, Ultrasound, Hotpack, paraffin boiler, etc.) will support the theoretical education that students have received in Hydrotherapy and Physiotherapy Methods courses, and students who are ready for the field by observing and using clinical applications in the laboratory environment are trained. In addition to electrotherapy applications in the field of physiotherapy, treatment beds are used for classical massage applications and traction device applications used in orthopedics and neurology are performed.

- To have the ability to apply the treatment of patients under the supervision of specialist physicians and physiotherapists in accordance with teamwork
- To be able to perform all applications in the field of physiotherapy in accordance with the technique
- To be able to apply electrotherapy devices to be applied for the treatment of the patient under the supervision of a specialist physician and physiotherapist and to be aware of the reference ranges in the use of devices,
- Being experienced in establishing good communication with the patient during patient admission, informing the patient about the procedures to be performed,
- To be interested in science, especially biology and physics, and to be successful in these fields,
- Physically strong and resilient,
- Can use their eyes and hands in coordination,
- Developed hand and finger skills,
- Can understand others and enjoy helping them,
- They must be patient, caring, careful and responsible.
- Physiotherapy laboratory technicians should also have sufficient knowledge about patient and employee rights.
