The Phonetics (Phonology) laboratory is located in the building where Üsküdar University Speech Therapy Research and Application Center (ÜSESKOM) is located. This laboratory allows the acoustic and physiological properties of human speech to be analyzed by means of various devices. The laboratory serves three main purposes and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
The laboratory has three main purposes/functions:
- To conduct experimental studies individually or in groups under the supervision and supervision of responsible faculty members; to teach how to utilize the laboratory facilities in the process of diagnosis, therapy and evaluation of the results of speech and language disorders.
- In accordance with the benefit of the society, to ensure that those who are deemed necessary from the cases applying to the Speech and Language Therapy Clinic are guided by objective methods in the examination, evaluation and therapy processes.
- To carry out basic and applied research in order to publish on national and international platforms.
