A leading forum for international economic cooperation
Religious and academic leaders gathered at the G20 Interfaith Forum held in Bologna from September 12-14. The Group of Twenty, or G20, is the leading forum for international economic cooperation, bringing together the leaders of the world's most prosperous economies.
Collectively, G20 members represent approximately 80 percent of the world’s economic output, two-thirds of the global population, and three-quarters of international trade.
IF20 is taking place in Bologna, the home of Fscire and Europe’s oldest university. Bologna stands out as one of the most suitable venues to host an inclusive interfaith forum. Over centuries, the city has recognized the shame of discrimination; the weight of war and terrorist violence, and has emerged as today’s vibrant and multicultural city.
The IF20 Forum will seek to build on these foundations by demonstrating how the power of knowledge can overcome the most challenging issues for individuals or entire societies.
