The word 'Kurban' (sacrifice) also means to draw closer. This drawing closer refers to a person getting closer to both their loved ones and the Creator. In a period when wars and poverty are experienced in many parts of the world, we must not forget those in need, our elders, friends, and neighbors. Especially the warm family environment and empathetic communication experienced by children during Eids are never forgotten throughout life. I wish for Eids to bring peace, tranquility, and hope to humanity.”
