Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, was the guest of the 'Existential Conversations' organized by the Conscience of the Age Club, under the coordination of the Directorate of Health, Sports, and Culture. Tarhan made evaluations regarding the topic of “Ene and Zerre”. Tarhan stated, “The post-pandemic era will be the era of the great reset”; “In this situation, we have a responsibility to explain the teachings of Islam, of the Quran. They cannot find it. While we have such a truth, we need to tell it to the whole world. We need to explain the wisdom within it, the psychology of wisdom.” he said.

Tarhan, in the event held on a digital platform within the scope of pandemic measures, emphasized the importance of the word 'ene'; “Why is the word 'ene' so important? What is the difference between ego and 'ene'? It is important to know this well. Because this will also show the boundary that distinguishes humans from other living beings. The 72nd verse in Surah Al-Ahzab, recited by Bediüzzaman Hazretleri, was as follows: ‘Indeed, We offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they declined to bear it and feared it. But man undertook it; and indeed, he was always unjust and ignorant.’ Bediüzzaman Hazretleri interprets this verse when explaining 'ene'. Thus, man, angels, devils exist, and other beings… These beings, which we call 'radiant beings', are currently referred to as intelligent lives in quantum dynamics, in neuroquantology. There are intelligent lives. The Creator gathers these intelligent lives and says, ‘I created such a human being. I created this human being and gave them a piece of My spirit.’ Now, when you give a piece of His spirit, think about the 6 Esmaül Hüsna in the human spirit. Attributes like Ilm (absolute knowledge), Irada (will), Qudrah (absolute power), Hikmah (absolute wisdom), being the Qayyum (Self-Subsisting, sustainer of all), everything being under His control, everything being dependent on Him, expresses that. Being Quddus (The Most Holy), being the one who organizes everything, corrects wrongs, being unique; after giving these, with these characteristics, the core key concept can open the treasure.” he said.
“If Our Brain's Frontal Region Didn't Exist, There Would Be No Civilization”
Tarhan, stating that the frontal region of the brain represents civilization; “The 'I' has the ability to make decisions. The frontal lobe, the front region of our brain, is the lobe of decision-making and control. If our brain's frontal region didn't exist, there would be no civilization. The greatest feature that distinguishes us from other living beings is the frontal lobe in our brain. The characteristic of the frontal lobe is that it is a brain region that thinks freely, makes free decisions, and can use our minds by making analogies. 'Ene' represents that frontal function in our brain. ‘Who am I?’ ‘Where should I direct myself?’ ‘Why?’ it asks questions. No cat says 'Why am I a cat?', but humans ask, ‘Why am I human?’ ‘Why do I exist?’. Asking these questions is related to the frontal region of the brain.” he said.
“The Most Important Feature of Ene is Its Ability to Measure and Evaluate”
Tarhan, emphasizing that the most important feature of 'ene' is to measure and evaluate; “When we define 'enaniyet' (egoism/self-centeredness), we know our limits. When we know our limits, we know our Lord. For example, a characteristic of 'enaniyet' is abstract thought. This develops in children around 5-6 years old. As a child grows and uses their mind, this abstract thinking skill develops. Humans have the theory of mind, the ability. An intellectual person is one who can examine not only what is visible but also what is invisible. The theory of mind is also the ability to understand by assuming the invisible. Humans have this characteristic and intellectualize events. They try to see and understand the invisible behind the visible, what is behind the wall. Religion is a second existential institution. 'Ene' asks the questions, ‘Why do I exist?’. The most important feature of 'ene' is its desire for comparison, its ability to measure and evaluate.” he stated.
“Digital Transformation is Underway”
Tarhan, recalling Davos's words in 2018, ‘We are now doing artificial intelligence, we have made a digital revolution, we will rule the world’; “This virus emerged in 2019. We are heading towards a digital dictatorship. Some conspiracy theories from global capital owners say the opposite. This is not everything. They say, ‘The Covid virus is not a virus, but something taught by wisdom.’ We need to look at this complex scenario from the opposite direction. Indeed, a digital transformation is taking place; humanity, with digital transformation, that is, with money – not with wealth, but with a sense of dominance over people they previously managed with weapons – has a desire for control. When you combine the human desire to dominate with 'enaniyet', people want to manage money and control all humanity. They ask, ‘What is the end of immortality?’, and they are looking for a cure for immortality. For this reason, an 'enaniyet' explosion occurred. I believe that the dates between these events after the 2018 World Economic Forum are not coincidental.” he said.
“We Need to Explain the Wisdom within Islam”
Tarhan continued his speech, stating, “The post-pandemic era, which they call the great reset, will be an era of major resetting”:
“Therefore, in this situation, we have a responsibility to explain Islam, the teachings of the Quran. They cannot find it; they are unable to find it. The Quran, the teachings of the Quran, offers this, and we should not sit idly by. Allah will hold us accountable. While we possess such a truth, we must convey it to the entire world. We need to explain the wisdom within it. The most important thing here regarding 'enaniyet' is for a person to be able to feel like a God on earth, or to fall into depression and commit suicide, or to confront themselves with the Creator and find peace. If you use 'enaniyet' correctly, it has been measured in these virus transmissions. We measured this in 16 dervishes by placing them in an MRI machine during Suhip meditation. It was a master's thesis of one of our students, and we published it in a journal. The psychology of wisdom is important.”
