Üsküdar University Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan gave a presentation titled 'The Secret of Creation, Intelligent Design?' at the 'VII. International Creation in the Light of Sciences Congress' held between October 19-21, 2023, hosted by Bitlis Eren University. Emphasizing that mathematicians best understand Tawhid, Tarhan stated that our mathematical mind refers to Tawhid. Tarhan used the expressions, 'We can now say that the belief in Tawhid is the closest explanation of existence to reason as a mathematical reality.'

Metaverse; Is the Universe a Simulation?
Referring to the question 'Metaverse; Is the Universe a Simulation?' in his presentation, Prof. Tarhan, who stated that "The unmathematized state of science is philosophy," also expressed that computational neurobiology was born as a result of theoretical modeling.
Prof. Dr. Tarhan said, "The philosophy of existence needs to be reinterpreted. Mathematicians understand Tawhid best. We can now say that 'the belief in Tawhid' is the closest explanation of existence to reason as a mathematical reality."
Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan stated that the mind's laboratory has various scientific analysis methods and noted that cybernetics is a branch of science that investigates and examines the control and management of all complex living and non-living systems, their lower and upper connections, and structures.
Prof. Dr. Tarhan expressed the following:
The shortest path to truth is the synthesis of religious and natural sciences…
"The shortest path to truth is the synthesis of religious and natural sciences. Therefore, in the laboratory of reason, natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and religious sciences are all different scientific paths leading to truth and are not rivals but complementary to each other."
'Designed existence' is the only reasonable explanation compared to accidental existence
Stating that System Theory is valid for all systems, Prof. Dr. Tarhan continued:
"It can be mechanical, physical, biological, intellectual, and social. It is a methodology that perceives and explains the common community of relationships between elements and qualities within different entities and dynamics. Systematic and methodological analysis conducts criticism, analysis, and synthesis using reasoning methods by examining the relationships and mutual interactions between events and phenomena. While doing this, it uses mathematical modeling. As Hegel said, 'everything questioned is real; everything real can be questioned.' When we question existence, 'designed existence' stands out as the only reasonable explanation compared to accidental existence."
Rethinking the concept of God
According to the philosophy of mind, humans are greater than the brain and body, said Tarhan, adding, "Your brain is a quantum receiver resonating with a field called the mind. This can explain 'self' and beyond psychic experiences. It can provide clues about spirituality. It can enable us to rethink the concept of God."
It is impossible for mathematical reason to say it is possible
Prof. Dr. Tarhan, according to the principles of cybernetics and system theory; considering a complex system from the universe to atoms; explained that when the universe, seen as macrocosm, is considered alongside atoms and subatomic particles as microcosm, a vast difference within a great similarity is observed, and continued:
"A supreme will and superior intelligence… Such a will that will skillfully conceive two concepts together, artistically design, meticulously diversify, give vitality by adding energy, make it sustainable in a balanced way, and keep opposites in a dynamic quantum balance, is a necessary being (Wajib al-Wujud). However, all these will later be finite and disappear. It is impossible for any mathematical reason to say this is possible."
Tarhan stated that without the prefrontal cortex, there would be no morality and civilization, and said that the right brain is the altruistic and spiritual hemisphere of the brain.
Tarhan used the expressions, "Consequently, it is understood that instead of theories based on accidental existence to explain existence, the fact that the universe is designed with knowledge by a supernatural will, created with will, wisdom, and power, and operates under its constant disposition (the truth of Tawhid) is more consistent with mathematical reason."
A Manifesto on Creation is Needed…
At the end of the 3-day congress, the members of the congress advisory board, including Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, shared the congress's final declaration with the public. Evaluating the congress, Tarhan noted that the International Creation in the Light of Sciences Congresses have developed each year and grown by adding new elements. Emphasizing that the congress is progressing well in terms of quality and quantity, Tarhan made the following evaluations regarding the congress: "We observe that some of the topics discussed in our congresses become subjects for master's theses and some for projects. This shows that creation is increasingly developing and rooting itself with scientific rigor. Materialism has begun to be seriously questioned worldwide. Now there are post-materialist science discussions. Within these discussions, alternative views explaining existence have gained significant ground. There is a need for an effort leading to a Manifesto regarding Creation, religion and natural sciences, and other sciences. There is a good option for existence explaining this issue worldwide. It provides new answers to old questions about death and the afterlife. Old answers were given to these questions; now, with these congresses, new answers are being provided. We are looking for new answers to these questions."
