Multifaceted education with international cooperation

While the project process was carried out with the contributions of Research Asst. Ender Sezen from the Department of Occupational Health and Safety and the Erasmus Office Coordination, the program, with students from different countries participating within the framework of international cooperation, offered an interdisciplinary and multicultural learning environment.

In the online sessions held before the program, team building, determination of safety values, and preparatory work for the program content were carried out with the participants.

Strong infrastructure established with theoretical education

In the face-to-face sessions of the program, topics such as machine safety, process safety analyses, and safety culture were addressed within the technical program, establishing a theoretical foundation for field studies.

In the morning session of the first day, machine safety was discussed in detail by Safety Consultant Erkam Güzel from OMRON company.

Project team met with Prof. Nazife Güngör

Later, the students and the project team met with Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör.

The program, held in the Central Campus Senate Hall, was attended by Asst. Prof. Nuri Bingöl, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Asst. Prof. Rüştü Uçan, Head of the Department of Occupational Health and Safety, Asst. Prof. Sertaç Temur, and Research Asst. Ender Sezen.

Knowledge reinforced with field applications

On the second day of the program, during a technical visit to Assan Alüminyum's production facility in Gebze Dilovası as part of field applications, machine safety, LOTO applications, and machine guards were examined on-site with the contributions of OHS-E Manager Cengiz Kayışkan.

Subsequently, during a visit to the CST Kimya factory, process safety practices, HAZOP analyses, and risk assessment processes were observed on-site. Participants had the opportunity to receive practical training under the guidance of industry representatives, especially Erkam Güzel and Efari Bahçevan.

On the third, fourth, and fifth days of the program, students carried out project development work in international teams, based on the data obtained from field visits.

Presented their project assignment at the closing program

On the last day of the program, participants presented their project assignments prepared using machine safety risk assessment and SEYİR Akademi HAZOP Risk Analysis Software.

The closing program, held in the Çarşı Campus Salacak Meeting Hall, was attended by Prof. İsmail Barış, Rector's Advisor, Prof. Arif Aktuğ Ertekin, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Asst.
