To be a pioneering academic unit that trains students capable of evaluating the local and global body of knowledge in the field of psychology through a critical, ethical, and evidence-based approach; analyzing behavioral and mental processes in a comprehensive manner; and making contributions at the national and international levels in the areas of scientific research, professional development, and social responsibility.
Mission
To provide students with a scientific foundation in the fundamental concepts, theories, and methods of psychology; to enable them to analyze behavioral and mental processes through multifaceted approaches; to ensure they can access current knowledge in the field of psychology via scientific databases and resources; and to help them develop skills in designing research, collecting data, analyzing it, and reporting results.
The Psychology Department aims to enable students to critically evaluate theoretical and applied areas, make evidence-based inferences, and act within the boundaries of professional ethical principles and competencies. It aims to produce graduates who can responsibly apply their acquired knowledge in individual, social, and cultural contexts, in line with the principles of lifelong learning, professional development, and social responsibility.
