AIMS
The purpose of ENMER is to ensure equal participation of all disabled people who continue their education and work at Üsküdar University and all disabled people living in Turkey in education, training, social life and cultural areas and to develop planning and strategy on the subject. This center aims to improve the quality of prosthetics, orthotics, assistive devices and tools at the level of all stakeholders by physically, mentally and socially evaluating those in need before their application, guiding them correctly and providing the necessary therapy and training activities after the application.
FIELDS OF ACTIVITY:
The Center carries out activities in the following areas in order to achieve the objectives stipulated in Article 5 of this Regulation:
- To conduct research on the arrangements, equipment, assistive prosthesis and orthosis applications necessary for life without disabilities,
- In the Prosthetics-Orthotics workshop to be located in the center, to have orthotics-prosthetics and occupational associate degree students practice and to meet the prosthetic, orthotic, auxiliary device needs of the physically disabled people in the environment through the expert technicians and therapists to be assigned in the Prosthetics-Orthotics workshop, to maintain and repair, to provide the necessary training for effective use,
- Conducting research on screening physically disabled people and identifying their needs,
- To conduct research in cooperation with other research centers and laboratories,
- To prepare scientific research projects at national and international levels and to form working groups to realize these projects,
- To support scientific studies and projects in Turkey and abroad in line with the purpose of the Center, to organize national and international congresses, conferences, symposiums, seminars, panels, courses and similar scientific activities.
