Research Focus

As the name suggests, our Working Group on Developing and Adapting Measurement Tools in Social Sciences aims to contribute to science by developing scales on various topics in social sciences or adapting scales from abroad to Turkish.

In the first meeting we held with the team members whose names are listed below as our working group, the general structure of the working group (mission, vision, activity planning), presenting suggestions for the first topic to be studied and planning the next meeting were discussed. Accordingly, the general structure has been determined as follows.

Vision

To understand the human condition and to contribute to the scientific literature by developing or adapting measurement tools in line with the many transformations experienced in the developing and changing world.

Mission

Developing or adapting measurement tools in accordance with scientific ethical values with validity and reliability studies
To contribute by developing measurement tools that are not included in the scientific literature
To ensure the applicability of scales developed abroad in our country by adapting them to Turkish
To contribute to the scientific literature by publishing the studies conducted with the developed or adapted scale
