The Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems Application and Research Center will cooperate with academics, incubation centers, accelerators and technology transfer offices in following rapidly developing and changing technologies in the field of intelligent systems and artificial intelligence, collecting and analyzing data, creating products with the potential to produce added value, making academic publications, participating in and contributing to national / international projects. It is aimed that the products to be obtained in academic and industrial collaborative studies to be carried out through the center, where many methods such as machine learning, signal processing, image processing, deep learning, fuzzy logic, which are developed under the title of artificial intelligence today, will find application areas, will be products that produce high added value. In particular, the negligible contribution of the export of high-tech products in all manufacturing industry export items underlines the need to move from labor-intensive and efficiency-oriented production to innovation-oriented economy and production as a country. Center and academia-industry collaborations that will add value to the national economy in the medium and long term will be developed in a production-oriented manner.
Similarly, it is also aimed to ensure widespread impact by increasing interdisciplinary cooperation with the infrastructure cooperation of universities. Within the framework of artificial intelligence studies, it will also contribute to the creation of an awareness ecosystem related to the field by following up at the international level, encouraging participation in conferences, following, monitoring, contributing to the studies carried out at the national level and informative meetings. Supporting the opening of graduate programs in intelligent systems and artificial intelligence and supporting graduate theses will be among the important academic contributions of the Center. The Center will also accelerate the continuing education activities of university units by developing proposals for transforming seminars and courses into comprehensive training programs that result in certificates, promoting courses and seminars as products of the university to public and private institutions and individuals, and identifying new training requirements. By ensuring unity of practice between the programs to be carried out by the Center, it will guide academicians working in these fields and open doors for cooperation.
