Program Educational Objectives

  1. To educate qualified and specialized technical personnel who, through the knowledge and skills acquired in the fields of basic nuclear structure, radiation sources and their application areas, radiation shielding principles, biological effects of radiation, radioactive materials and waste management, applied health physics, reactor theory and operation, and national and international nuclear regulations and legislation, are competent in the industrial applications of nuclear technologies, possess awareness of working in radiation environments, and have the ability to understand new technologies and apply them to existing problems.
  2. The need for qualified personnel, particularly for Nuclear Power Plants planned to be established in our country as part of initiatives aimed at reducing dependence on foreign energy sources, has further increased the importance of this program.
