In today's world, it is common knowledge that concepts such as globalization are held responsible, but the emptying of values, which has a great share in the backwardness of the local, is also known to everyone. Moving away from human values leads to psychological disorders, and the deterioration of mental health leads first to the irregularity of families, which are the basis of societies, and then to the deterioration of entire societies. Our age, where both the search for worthless direction and worthlessness under the mask of value is experienced, is pregnant with new exits. These exits may be in the form of developing new methods for solving problems or showing ancient values in a way that is suitable for the age.
Üsküdar University Human Values Education Application and Research Center (ÜDEMER) aims to transfer our traditional values, which we need to carry from the past to the present, to the growing generations with contemporary methods and techniques, as well as to produce new values in accordance with the requirements of the age. In addition to commonly used methods such as education and training, contemporary methods such as psychological counseling will also be used to achieve these goals. In addition to values education, re-examining values in the light of scientific research and applying the findings constitute the field of study of our center.
