The Podology Program trains technicians who recognize the problems that occur in the foot, who can care for the feet of individuals directed by physicians according to the diagnosis and treatment methods, and who have the ability to assist in medical foot care in healthy individuals.
In line with the stated objectives, in the Podology laboratory, students are taught the necessary information to protect foot health and prevent diseases that may occur, and they are given the opportunity to perform applications in order to have the ability to use the tools and equipment developed in the field of podology competently. Within the scope of the program courses, medical foot care, orthonyxia methods, onychoplasty applications, bandages, wraps, finger pads and foot supports applications, evaluation of foot health problems, nail pathologies and calluses, basic applications for prevention and treatment are carried out in the laboratory.
